He has won a Pulitzer Prize for Criticism. ==Career== Morgenstern graduated from Lehigh University in 1953 with a bachelor's degree in English magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. His first journalism experience was as news clerk at ''The New York Times''. He then became foreign correspondent for the ''Times'', based in Switzerland and France.
